This forum has been set up to facilitate the exchange of ideas, friendship and whatever else amongst those who wish to use their English in Paris. The idea is not a new one, in fact there are other forums around, but this one has no hidden motives. We are not linked to a commercial company of any kind. We do expect that the board will be able to pay its own way some day, but it is here for the users. For you.
We find that if you want to meet new people and organise trips to the cinema or whatever, a forum like this does not have the pressure, or the expense, of one-on-one dating sites. It's not just for singles of course. Are you a family with kids? Do you want to meet other families with kids? Do you want to have an environment where your kids can use their mother language, or be exposed to English with others their own age? This is the purpose of the board.
In many ways the board is like a meeting place. Like a pub. It's simply the best way to use the internet for meeting new friends. The best way to do that is if everyone invites their friends to sign up and join in the discussions. Who knows, on one of those board outings you might meet the person of your dreams. The more people we have here the more fun we will all have.
